Banana Pancakes

It's the perfect morning for a cup of joe and some banana pancakes.

The Snow of the Decade

That's what they are calling it. We have received about a foot so far and it's still coming down.
It all started like this...around 3:30 p.m. Friday...
...and it continued.

Around 11 p.m. Tim and I venture out in the 6 inches of snow and headed to see Downtown.

This morning we woke up to another blanket of snow on the car.
(Our car is the one in front of the tree)

This may continue until 11 p.m. tonight...stay tuned!

Seminary

We are so excited to announce that Tim has been accepted to Reformed Theological Seminary. Early next year he will begin classes working towards a M.A. degree. The M.A. will eventually go into a M. Div. when the opportunity arises to move to the Orlando area.

Our desire is to eventually plant Gospel Centered churches in Florida. We are thankful for our opportunity to live and work in Lynchburg, Virginia. Being here has allowed us to grow as a young married couple, surrounded by many of our friends and encouraged and supported by our church. We are actively involved in working with a college ministry that is supported by our church called Reformed University Fellowship. We look forward to seeing what God has in store for us.

We Did It!

Ok, so we did not break any records and we certainly did not finish close to first, but we finished! This was my first and I think it just may be my last 5k, but at least we did it! I am thankful that Tim ran at my pace because there is no way I can keep up with him. I thought doing this would help me enjoy running, but I think it just confirmed my dislike for the sport.

The weather could not have been worse! We started the 5k with rain and ended with snow. The only thing I could think about the whole time was being dry, warm, and comfy in my house watching a movie. Anyways, just wanted to update everyone and let you know we did it!

5k update

Some of you may have heard that I volunteered Tim and I to run a 5k with my office. It's the Peaks of Otter Christmas Classic...sounded like a festive and fun thing to do. I have never been much of a runner, but thought signing up for this might give us the motivation we need...ha! We have not been diligent in training like the rest of my co-workers so I'm a little nervous. It's just a 5k right? That's what I keep telling myself. The weather for tomorrow does not look promising either.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas...

We returned from a great trip to Ohio for our Thanksgiving vacation and began decorating the house. Since none of our family can come visit and enjoy this with us we hope you can at least enjoy the pictures.
